Biography
Osmus is a four piece alternative rock band, born and raised in industrial Metro Detroit. Since Forming in 2003 Osmus has spent 7 years recording and performing. Their latest release "The End of a Cold Front" was recorded at Woodshed Studios by Tim Pak (Taproot/Suicide Machines) and Ed Sertage (Bedford Drive) The CD was mastered at Grammy award winning Tempermill Studios (Loretta Lynn/Jack White). Over the past 7 years of performing, Osmus has opened for such national acts as, Theory of a Deadman and Cold, playing in front of sold out crowds at venues such as Harpos Concert Theatre and St. Andrews Hall. Osmus' song "Second Place" has been featured on Detroit radio stations 89X and 101.1 WRIF. In early 2006 Osmus made the leap over to independent film, when the song "Mirror" was featured in the movie "The Route" directed by Steve Horn (Ocean Horn Films). The song "Left to Lose" is featured in the upcoming film "Behind The Shallow Mind" scheduled for release in early 2011. In short, Osmus is a hard working band in a hard working city looking to take their careers and music to the next level.
